General Manager Dr. Kai-An Wang received his Ph.D. in Solid State Physics from the University of Kentucky in the early 1990s, followed by several years of postdoctoral research at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in California. He then joined Applied Materials in California as a Senior Engineer in thin-film deposition technology, and is the inventor of more than 50 global patents.
He went on to found several thin-film deposition equipment companies in California, successfully supplying deposition equipment to leading manufacturers including Qualcomm (USA), ChipMOS Technologies (Taiwan), Foxconn, BOE (China), and O-Film.
In recent years, ALD research has surged across optics, nanotechnology, MEMS, energy, catalysis, biomedicine, displays, and corrosion-resistant sealing coatings. Drawing on his global technical network, Dr. Wang has allied with key strategic technology partners to bring ALD technology to, and establish it within, the Taiwan market.
